Composition drafts v.2-3 notes

Last week I received drafts two and three of the composition. Version two had some fantastic improvements from the original, with the introduction of organic, squelchy sounds throughout, bringing another layer of viscerality into the film. Other 'tests' included removing the drum kit at the end, which I felt was too jarring in the first draft, however, the fantastic 'gear shift' noises had also been taken out, so I requested they be put back in for the final draft. There was also some SFX of wind which I felt did not fit at all, so asked for that to be removed.

The third and final version is perfection. My talented composer took my notes on board and sent something back to me quickly, which I then did all my final touch-ups and checked it with my 11th draft of the edit. The final version is similar to the first, but it has those organic sounds in it, and no drum kit, with more bass and an A B A structure at the end. Overall I am very happy with it and excited to put everything together.
