'Pandora' Moodboards

Below are three moodboards all exploring themes of pollution, dread, overconsumption, waste, and existential dread. My film is a horror film and I really want to explore these themes and the way they make me feel through this film. Each mood board is captioned, scroll through them for full text.

In this moodboard, I have brought together images which bring to mind environmental horror and anxiety. Certain stills come from the films The Green Knight and Dune, while others are photographs and art which I found on pinterest while making this moodboard.

In this moodboard I wanted to explore rot and overconsumption. I have a History of Art background, and I really enjoy artworks that explore decay and rot like these, especially when framed as a still life, as it seems antithetical. As my ideas develop and change, I still want to keep rotting food in my film. I think the aesthetics of it, and the commentary of overconsumption. I will see where the experimental direction takes me.

In this moodboard, I am exploring ideas of death, victims and environment. A message I want to convey in my film is that the individual is made to feel responsible for the state that the planet is currently in, when really it's not our fault. It's large corporations and governments who are responsible. This makes me feel so helpless and like I am drowing under the weight of this reality, and extremely angry that we shoulder the guilt and it makes me feel powerless. These images show my range of emotion which fluctuates, and is something I want to explore further.
