'Pathways' - an experiment in sound design

Below, find a short experimental film made for my other class Experimental Art and Media, in which during the edit, I took what I learnt from the Sound workshop and put it into practice. I wanted to emphasise the disconnect between the audio and visuals so that the viewer is more aware of what they're hearing as they cannot see the source. Phemia, Qingyue and I came up with the concept, to explore how places have changed over time and have been shaped by humans travelling through that space, from the pathways we create. There is a strong juxtaposition between nature and the sounds of travel in the film.
